Supply chain management (SCM) is the
management of a network of inter-
connected businesses involved in the ultimate provision of product & service packages required by end customers. SCM spans all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory and finished goods from point of origin to consumption point (supply chain). A "Body of Knowledge", or BOK, refers to the total of all authoritative, documented knowledge in a particular discipline. Commonly, sources are referenced as the basis, or primary source, of the elements of the body of knowledge. These may include books, articles and other media authored by respected authorities in the given field.
